About PDRCore

What is PDRCore?

Shop software for paintless dent repair. It runs the RO (repair order) from drop-off to paid: estimates, supplements, the shop board, technician pay, invoices and customer messages, on a computer or a phone.

Who is it for?

Hail repair teams, door-ding shops, shops that do both, and technicians working on their own. From one tech to a full crew.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. PDRCore runs in your phone's browser, and you can save it to your iPhone's Home Screen so it opens like an app.

Who makes PDRCore?

PDR people. It's built inside the industry and shaped by technicians and brokers who've spent years on hail lines and dealer routes.

Estimating

How does PDRCore price a panel?

Priced from PDRCore's dent matrix by dent size, from Dime to Half-Dollar, and count range, or a price you set on the estimate.

Does it handle supplements?

Yes. The approved estimate stays locked as the version of record. Changes go in a supplement with a reason, every sent version is kept, and you can compare each one with the original, side by side.

Does it handle R&I and R&R?

Yes. R&I lines bill labor hours, and R&R lines add the part. Both sit under the panel they belong to, beside its PDR line, and a parts catalog keeps your common parts ready.

Can each carrier or dealer have its own prices?

Yes. Each account can have its own price sheet, and a dealer or fleet can have its own labor rates and tax rate. An RO billed to that account is priced with them.

Can a customer approve an estimate online?

Yes. The customer opens the estimate from the link you send and approves it with a one-time code sent by text or email, and the approval is recorded with the version they approved. Signing the authorization online is coming soon.

Can PDRCore read a written estimate sheet?

Yes. Scan a photo of the sheet and PDRCore proposes the lines. You check each one before it's added. It can also propose lines from a photo of the car, for you to check.

Technician pay

How can I pay my technicians?

By commission, hourly, salary, by the panel or by flag hours, or hourly or salary plus commission. Each person is paid by their own arrangement, and a facility fee comes off before commission is shared.

When does a technician get paid for a car?

You choose: when the repair is finished, when the invoice is paid in full, or in step with each payment as it arrives. Pay is counted from the approved estimate.

What does a technician see?

Their own cars in My Work, and their own pay in My Pay: this paycheck, what's on the way, how each car was figured, and their pay history. Never anyone else's.

Billing

Can I invoice the carrier and the customer separately?

Yes. On an insurance RO, the carrier and the customer are each invoiced for their own amounts, and payments are recorded against the invoice they pay.

Can customers pay by card through PDRCore?

Not yet. Today you record the payments you take. Paying an invoice by card online is on the way.

Does it work for dealer and fleet work?

Yes. Dealers, fleets and lots are accounts with their own price sheet and terms. Each gets a statement of everything it owes, and A/R aging shows who is late.

Customer messages

Can I text customers from PDRCore?

Yes, from your shop's own number. Carriers ask for a business number to be registered before they deliver its texts, so in the beta texting is switched on for each shop as its number clears that. Email works from the start.

Do Facebook and Instagram messages come in?

Not yet. Facebook and Instagram in the inbox are on the roadmap.

The beta and pricing

Is it ready to use?

PDRCore is in beta. Everything marked as working today works now. Everything else is listed under Coming soon, with no promised dates.

How much does it cost?

There will be two plans, Shop and Individual Tech, each billed monthly or yearly. Prices are coming soon, and beta shops hear them first.

What do beta shops pay?

We'll talk it through with each shop when it joins the beta.

What happens after I apply?

We read every application ourselves. We'll reply within 2 business days. If it's a fit, we'll help you get your shop set up.

How does a shop get started?

Apply for the beta. If it's a fit, we send a one-time link that opens your shop. Setup takes a few questions, and everyone you invite gets a walkthrough for their own role.

Can I bring my records from Mobile Tech RX or CCC ONE?

From Mobile Tech RX, yes: upload the files you export from it on a computer, check what will come in (customers, vehicles, open estimates and history), bring it in, and undo it if you change your mind. From CCC ONE or anything else, you can bring in a single estimate today. Tell us what you use on the application so we can plan your move.

Your shop's data

Is my shop's information private?

Yes. Each shop's information is walled off from every other shop's, and inside your shop each person sees only what their role allows. Technicians see their own cars and pay, not the shop's money.

Can I get my data out?

Partly. Reports download as PDF or CSV, and every estimate, invoice and statement is a PDF you can keep. A full export of your shop's records isn't built yet.

Who can see the estimate link I send?

Whoever has the link can view that estimate, which is why approving it asks for a one-time code sent to the customer on the RO. The page shows what the customer should see, and nothing about your costs or pay.

Still have a question?

Email support@pdrcore.com, or apply and ask it on the application. We read every one ourselves.
